16 Empowering Morning Rituals

What you do in the morning can set the tone for what happens until you go back to bed. Many people begin their day unconscious as what type of day they are creating. They roll out of bed and hit the ground running not being fully present or conscious of what it is they are trying to create for themselves in your day. Incorporating empowering morning rituals into your day not only sets the tone for your day but also allows you to create the day that you really want to create.

Mornings are a busy time for many families just getting everyone out of the door on time. Mothers and Fathers both are stressed with getting little ones up, out and ready. Maintaining a schedule and energy of peace, calm, and relaxation can help shift a chaotic morning into a peaceful one. I know what you are thinking, I must not have children. In actuality, I do and my children have been no different from yours in the sense that they follow my lead. If I woke up in a hurry, frantic, and rushing out the door it seems like those were the days they took their time and had more, mom wait more minute to cause more franticness. Even still, if I paused and took a breath, planning more time than even I thought I needed they were ready to go in only a few minutes flat.

On the other hand, you and your kids may be spending your days at home with everyone on top of each other. That can be just as stressful as commuting, especially if you’re concerned about your health, finances, as well as work/life balance.

The specific habits you choose will depend on your values and goals. Start small and have fun experimenting. Consider these ideas for morning rituals designed to help you set the tone for your day.
